if you fell below a minimum income you didn't qualify for the tax, if you had insurance for part of the year you'd pay less of the tax

I'm not saying I agree with the individual mandate, it's weasel worded as a "tax" to scrape by even being constitutional, but it's there because it's the only way Obamacare would work so that premiums wouldn't rise uncontrollably with, for example, people with pre-existing conditions, being added to the market

what's worse, a healthy person having to pick up subsidized insurance, or an unhealthy person being denied coverage (these were the real death panels)
