I'm used to this new standard of milking the sht out of the same game. Especially if you play a game without Dlc's and get a fulfilling experience but if you want to expand that universe a bit you can buy some Dlc's. This is how i felt with fallout 3 and NV and Borderlands but with a game like Mass effect that you already had to buy in chapters it seems more greedy cause the take is more than the give. If you feel forced to buy a dlc to actually make the game good that game failed you and you're paying for a Dlc to fix that, that's just greedy game design imo.
You can feel that sht. You can feel how a game twists your arm by showing you the new cool sht they just added and the community around that game unconsciously or consciously peer pressure you to keep up to the point you might sink in a few hundred dollars on cosmetics in a free game cause you just wanted to play with your friends and keep up with them. (im mainly talking about multiplayer online games in this part)
Ofc you always have the choice to not jump in that bandwagon but you gonna be excluded from that trendy game everyone is playing and talking about.
