I think the best tracks on here beat out the first Tin Machine album, but overall, I'm still not that into it to be honest. "You Belong in Rock and Roll" is my favorite track on Tin Machine II, but there's not much else I'm really going to get up and root for. "Baby Universe" is pretty cool though.

I also feel slightly peeved by the somewhat poor attempt at covering Roxy Music's actually very good song "If There Is Something". Bowie's take removes all the sexy swagger and swinging rhythm of the verses and unnecessarily tames a mid section vocally, while not transforming it into anything new, for a quite disappointing result.

Overall, I like the sound of this album better than the previous one, but there's just not enough songs that really stick out as anything all that good.

3/5 again.
