That's ****ed up, I can empathize. It's a huge issue here in ca too. If you're poor there's no chance of getting the help you need. Sure, you can go to the volunteer-run support groups and take a bunch of pamphlets home but if you're poor you don't have access to therapy, you don't have access to a good psychiatrist that will make sure you're being prescribed the right thing, it's a cliche now but it's easier to walk out of a hospital with opioids than ssri's. Mental health care in America is a privilege you have to pay into.
