^ ...which makes this a pretty sad thread, re-analysing bans that even the banned no longer care about. And that would be one result of allowing pardons on permabans: every permabanned member would have some parole-board thread-starter opening a re-appraisal rabbit hole for us to disappear down.

I agree with TH, Janz and Yac; everyone permabanned received fair warning and permaban says what it is -it's not a temporary ban like all the others are.

What do you suggest Ori? A new category of ban between temporary and permanent? How about the "Look, this time I really really mean it" ban?
