That being said, I'm going to go with Aerosmith, simply because they offer a wider variety of sounds & adapted to changing climate of music with the advent of MTV and whatnot.
Don't get me wrong... I hate that dumbass Cryin', Don't Wanna Miss A Thing, Angel bullsh*t . It's top 40 crap specifically written for the MTV audience.
But, they did what they had to do to remain relevant, so I begrudgingly respect that.
Aerosmith has 2 groups of fans, the MTV generation, and the original Aero fans, like me, who cut their teeth on Get Your Wings, Rocks, Draw The Line & the like.

That song reminds me of Liv Tyler, and therefore I respect it. It also reminds me of Armageddon so I'm very much conflicted. I don't think it's that bad of a song.
