Hey you know this is a lot better than I remember. I know I enjoyed some tracks off it, including the two singles, “Nothing Ever Happens” and “Kiss This Thing Goodbye”, when I heard it originally, but I seem to recall being lukewarm on most of the rest, though I did like “Hatful of Rain” (which I still do; I'd rate it as my third favourite track on the album). But having just listened to it again, I have a deeper appreciation for the songwriting of these guys, and yeah, it's a pretty damn fine album. Not gonna rock anyone's world, but you never know: it might surprise a few people. Kind of surprised me, all these years later.
