These all hit home. We've been living together for 4 years and it feels like 20. Aside from work - which, we switch off every year and one person does a couple of semesters of school and the other takes on another job - we pretty much only ever hang out with each other at home. I'm used to having a lot of alone time and it can be really hard to share space. We enjoy each other's company but he's too needy and I'm too distant. I feel like I've lost a lot of myself to this relationship and I think that's the crux of the problem.
Tl;Dr I need to get out more.

Yeah it hasn't come to that, fortunately. It's definitely not as frequent as either of us would like, but I try to make up for it in other ways. It's just been a while since it's been good.
