I love both but Lion King no longer makes me cry. The Land Before Time will always wreck my ****. Even the credits **** with me because they show all this prehistoric land imagery but the dinosaurs are gone and it's set to a corny Diana Ross song that still works in an oddly melancholic way and it reminds me that not only is one of my favorite childhood movies over, but that the dinosaurs will eventually all die.
Lion King is wonderful but it does also have this obviously big budget animation that you can tell has subtle, but still clear uses of digital animation and it doesn't have the same heart and intimacy as Land Before Time. Also dinosaurs > lions.
I mean just ****ing compare.
