It's not something I thought I would be going through at this age, but you've always got to look on the bright side of life even when life seems to be pitch black. Deal with the cards you've been dealt and see this as another (be it dreadful) stepping stone that you have to cross. I treat every decision thatI now make with the words 'what would my Dad be thinking if he saw me doing this?' Which still gives me that warm, nice sense that he is still here. Heaven exists, but it's not in the clouds or deep into outer space-it's in my mind. And right now my Dad is sitting there in his favourite armchair, watching the golf with a packet of wine gums in one hand and the remote in the other.
