Watched the 2018 British horror film “Ghost Stories” and was tremendously disappointed given the stellar reviews I’ve seen it given from people who’s opinions I respect. I really don’t understand the love, and I’m pretty easy to please when it comes to horror. Some solid creepy scenes and an interesting twist, but it’s filled to the brim with crap fake jump scares of door slams and random birds that are my absolute least favorite thing in the genre.
Martin Freeman has a nice bit of it and Alex Lawther (The End of the ****ing World, that one Black Mirror episode) is a major standout. Otherwise though I honestly flat out hated watching it. 4/10 for good acting and some decent creep scenes
