Animal Collective, Deerhoof, The Fiery Furnaces, My Morning Jacket, Xiu Xiu, Sonic Youth, The Flaming Lips, Blonde Redhead, Black Dice, Microphones/Mt. Eerie are all just as good and just as experimental. If you wanted to take into account bands that aren't really similar to Radiohead, that list would be much longer.
Radiohead started out as a Britpop band (Pablo Honey, The Bends) that turned more experimental as time went on.
