I just sold a big stack of CDs today. Some artists, I kind of have an infatuation with for a while, but then lose interest in completely. Some just end up not really delivering as much as their best few songs suggested they would.
Gone from my shelves as of today:

Joni Mitchell
Luar Na Lubre
Teresa Salgueiro
Heather Nova
I listened to parts of all of the albums I had with the above artists to give them one last chance before I got rid of them. A few artists actually survived the same process, much to my surprise. A few I couldn't get myself to ban from my collection:
