Well, tonight I'm going for maybe stir-fry pork with rice and spinach.
What I'll do for that is, set the rice boiling in a pan, put my pork pieces (these one's are pre-diced) into a bowl and season them with soy-sauce, whichever herbs take my fancy, a bit of salt, pepper and sugar, cornflour and maybe some curry powder (not meant to, but hey), mix the pork and seasoning around, warm up some sunflower oil and a bit of sesame oil in my wok, throw the pork into the wok and start stir-frying it, then I'll check my watch, if the rice has been in about 5 minutes or more I'll throw the spinach in with it to boil together, maybe some other frozen veg if I have it, I'll stir-fry the pork until its turned cooked-pork colour, when the rice has been in a total of 10 minutes (think its ten... i'll check the packet) I'll take it off the hob and drain it, using the hole in the saucepan, then, when the pork is done, I'll take the pork out of the wok, put it into a bowl, put some more oils into the wok, warm them and then put the rice in, I'll fry this for maybe 3 minutes, then put it back into the saucepan.
And that's how I'll cook my chinese food... well its roughly chinese as I'm using soy-sauce, sesame-oil, a wok, rice etc. etc.
