I'd never heard her version before, but it's pretty damned good. Took a couple listens to grow on me, but now it's wormed its way into a bunch of my playlists. Good call!
I adore Debbie Harry, so I have a high bar for Blondie covers.
Imo, it just works better as a punk song.
