Former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion, 2013 Bellator Light Heavyweight Tournament winner,
2015 Rizin FF Heavyweight Grand Prix winner and current Bellator fighter Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal
[21-8-0-1 MMA, 10-6 BMMA, 3-1 RFF] will once again be loaned out to Japanese-based RIZIN FF to face
Jiri "Denisa" Prochazka [23-3-1 MMA, 8-1 RFF] for the promotion's inaugural Light Heavyweight
Championship on April 21st in Yokohama, Japan.


This will be a rematch of their December 2015 fight, which saw Lawal win via KO [punches] at 5:09 into the first round.


Lawal is on a 2-fight losing streak, while Prochazka [who has a 4-inch height advantage] is on an impressive 7-fight win streak.


RIZIN FF operates under PRIDE FC rules, which are different than the Unified Rules Of Mixed Martial Arts
and those of Bellator and the UFC, with the main differences being:

All fights consist of a 10-minute opening round, followed by two 5-minute rounds.

Fights are judged on their entirety, not round-by-round.

Kicks and stomps to the head of a grounded opponent are 100% legal.

Elbows to the head are forbidden.

Up-kicks from a grounded opponent are 100% legal.

Slamming or spiking your opponent on their head is 100% legal.

Fighters are allowed to wear wrestling shoes.

Yellow cards are issued to fighters by the referee for stalling and rule violations. Each yellow card is
accompanied by a 10% deduction in the pay of the offending fighter.
