It’s definitely not appropriation. I wasn’t suicidal because I was appropriating homosexuality.
But PS- don’t put a label on yourself if it isn’t useful to you. The reason I identify as bi is that it is useful for me to identify the feelings that once scared me to death as a fundamentalist Christian teen in the Bible Belt. At the end of the day it’s just a word, but it’s a useful word to describe my life experience, even though I am in a monotonous relationship with a woman.
