When someone says "80's music," I generally associate that with post punk/alternative which for the most part still seems to hold up. I don't really like to think of any kind of art being dated just because it was made a long time ago, but at the same time I can understand people not wanting to listen to Cab Calloway or something REALLY old like that. Idk, maybe in another 30 years...
