I think you’re speaking within the framework of a very particular state of affairs. I don’t think there’s anyway you think these things,
as I imagine they can be, should be illegal. I hear you that these things are unfortunately largely the domain of the deranged right and basically amount to child abuse.
FWIW I’d like to keep a common vision that “school” should be profoundly and radically reorganized in a way that maximizes freedom and capitalizes on how children learn naturally in a cooperative way.
We need to take the prison component out of school. I really think we agree on that and probably always have.
