Dam bud, you quit before it got good. The 1st series gets better and shippuden gets way better. It pays off to stick with it from the beginning, by the time you reach the ninja war arc in shippuden you'll be glad you did.
My fav shonen is Rurouni kenshin but i still think Naruto is objectively better.
