Listened to A Real Good Kid today. I just wish the songs were a little more interesting but I get that it’s his thing to be down to earth. I can see the appeal but I don’t feel very captivated by it. They way he talks about his life actually sort of reminds me of Mark Kozelek. From one perspective it’s humble how he talks to you like someone you happened to sit next to on a long flight. On the other hand sometimes I’m thinking maybe it’s kind of narcissistic the way he assumes I would be at all interested in this much personal tmi.
