Honestly I think a lot of what people think of as maturity and becoming an adult is really just changing hormones and people correlating those changing hormones with lifestyle changes that other people tend to have at certain ages that convince them that they've matured when really they just had a hormonal change that the other people in their socio-economic bracket also had and lo and behold they had similar lifestyle changes while actively trying to correlate their lifestyle changes for the sake of social advancement. But really they're still exactly the same people they were a few years ago just with different hormones.
