dude, the Rolling Stones in 1977 had nothing in the way of a stageshow that KISS had. KISS invented the art of the touring rock band. They pioneered the logistics in how touring and album marketing was done.

They were the first band in the world to put there names and band logo on their guitar picks.

There is so much stuff KISS invented in rock concert promotion they are now the norm.

KISS invented it. The best in the world, worked for KISS.
great, more trivia, you should be on jeopardy.

except, you pretty much just ignored my main point. yeah, the stones didnt have spotlights or random flamethrowers or dress up as freakshows in heels. But if you've ever seen footage of a stones concert, it's impossible to deny that they had a rediculous amount of stage presence. the stones were among the first bands to start doing large scale stadium shows, they were one of the first bands to place a lot of emphasis on their actual shows, and creating a real showmanship image for themselves. hell even the beatles did the same thing to an extent. the stones took it to a higher level than the beatles, and KISS took it to a higher level than them the DIFFERENCE is that the beatles and the stones actually concentrated on making good MUSIC as well, something that can't be said for KISS.
