Well he’s already pushed the boundaries of tonality way out to the limits. To me it seems like
Odds Against Tomorrow is the right balance. I get the impression it’s a very inward looking creation. Very meditative and reflective and has a good payoff for multiple listens.
However, an artistic follow up to
A New Way To Pay Old Debts except on an electric guitar probably will happen. And that would be the album you’re looking for, I think.
