Notorious C.O.P.: The Inside Story of the Tupac, Biggie, and Jam Master Jay Investigations from NYPD's First "Hip-Hop Cop"
This has the shortcomings you’d probably expect: self-promoting, slightly disjointed, unnecessarily repetitive... but it does have some interesting inside information on how the police (especially NYPD) investigated hip hop celebrities. Also, as a fan, the author has very solid understanding of hip hop and why certain artists are iconic. He has good taste.
