^ I'm listening to this Nucleus album atm, a little late but that's my fault for missing this exchange from two years ago:-

Verdict on Nucleus' Roots, at first full listen: mainly nice smooth fusion, with two tracks that particularly caught my attention:-

rocking track Odokamona has some little weird sampling add-ons
the mood really slumps with a female vocalist on second track, Images. She sings in that dated, sultry style (James Bond movie meets Bossa Nova) about "making daisy chains in country lanes."

Overall, the musicians do a great job of keeping things afloat and interesting. Should've had the discipline to ditch the vocalist though.
