Anyway melatonin is completely safe to take daily. It doesn't cause withdrawal or symptoms of dependence. Talk to your doctor, mindy, but I know people who have taken it daily for years. Just pay attention to how your body and brain are responding to it and if you start to get side effects (grogginess, headaches, etc) take a break. Since it's a naturally occurring hormone anyway, too much melatonin in your system can overwhelm receptors and you can get to the point where it stops working because your body is used to having higher levels, but if you're sticking to a low dose I think you're fine.
