Rap is some of the most intelligent, touching, and haunting music I have ever listened to. Songs like The Poverty Of Philosophy, and Destruction and Creation are so powerful, you can't help but take notice. Rap is all about liking the right artist. Same with any other style of music. There will always be people who think that Nickelback are the quintesential rock band, and there will always be those who think that Lil Whyte is the quintesential rapper. The thing I can't stand is when people stereotype rap music. Them saying all rap is about smoking weed and f*cking girls, is the equivalent of those idiots who say all emo music is about cutting yourself, and I'll be damned if half of this forum doesn't jump on their back and call them misinformed. Rap music has a raw energy to it that I cannot find in any other kind of music.
