One has to think it out carefully and be very decisive. If you do it on a sudden impulse you’re quite likely to **** it up. I have a plan (with no current intention of carrying it out) that’s a combination of two methods that would not fail. The paradox of suicide is that it’s such a gigantic ordeal that a willingness to go through with everything to make sure it goes as planned is such an effort, psychologically and physically, that if you’re up for all that you’re probably well enough to clean your apartment instead. And if you do it on a sudden impulse even the most tried and true methods like shotguns and jumps are going to be in the 5-10% chance of leaving you crippled instead. Before jumping be sure you understand the limitation of terminal velocity.
