All those people would need stable lives. And virus or no virus they’ve ALWAYS needed homes and safety and sanitation. Our willingness to turn our backs on those who suffer will not change. It’s not an equalizer. Those who manufacture and sell weapons will continue to do so with our consent. We can’t solve this problem or any problem when the entire planet runs on manufacturing death and oppression. Weapons, private automobiles, plastic, alcohol, tobacco, hateful pornography, flags, absurdly expensive shoes, lithium, diamonds, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, palm oil, Big Macs, insulin...

For a moment there I had a belief that there was a disruption and if survived there might be a better existence on the other side. If your life isn’t worth living it only makes sense to support anything that ends the current social structure IF you can live through it. It was game over before the virus and it’s still game over. Of course, my life can get worse. Lonelier, more uncomfortable, scarier. A common enemy doesn’t matter because we’re too far gone.
I mean I've been sitting here looking at Virginia hem and haw trying not to do anything to disrupt capitalism cause a few million deaths isn't worth a dip in their stock portfolios and thinking "Yeah this is totally business as usual and the world still thinks I'm disposable." So you're not the only one.
