No tips really other than hoping your immune system can fight it. That's all anyone has for it at this point, and if your immune system can't do it's job normally, you need to get to an ER so they can use what they've learned about it to help you.
Keep in mind I'm a 53 year old with a long history of smoking and drug abuse. I consider myself fortunate that I decided to try and get healthy a few years back.

If it wasn't for the fact it was mid January I'd be sure I'd had it as well. I basically had what you're describing and it lasted just over two weeks.
Honestly felt like my lungs were bleeding when I coughed.
