She's climbing up the stairs to the goal
Burning herself against every step she takes
You see, the goal wasn’t chosen on her own
It was a sacrifice like everything else she makes
She looks steady but really she's stumbling
And she can’t seem to find her landing
To her, she’s riding in an automatic car
Unable to get out because she's strapped to the seat
Her heart can’t stay on a steady beat
Her minds rushing to catch up with her feet
Obedience is all she has to know
A lesson learned, but like always, not on her own
She tries to block out the lights placed in front of her eyes
Doubts and confusion over-populate her mind
Had to learn to shadow the emotions away
Hopefully someone will help her for her life's sake
