They have a reputation for being bitter (*glares at Stone Brewing*) but it's not always like that. If you can find them in your area, you should try St. Archer's Mosaic IPA, Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA, and Bell's Hopslam Triple IPA. They're all deceptively smooth and are strong as ****. That's the real pull of the IPA, where you can drink five and be good instead of 20 Coors or whatever.
