He's done quite a bit with a limited palette that he's chosen to go with. He's one of those artists who's been
"there" in modern music in a comfortable way - pretty unobtrusive, but still unique in style which makes it a
nice occasion when he releases something new. About 10 years ago, he said that he was retiring because it
seemed that he was pretty tapped out creatively; so fans were all bummed about it, but it seems that he
was having health problems. Even now, in his mid-80s, he's got a GoFundMe page to help him out.
Seems ridiculous when after playing on classic works like the original "In C" and with people like
La Monte Young, Talking Heads, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel, a.o., that you'd have to beg for
help these days. Anyway, I've been with him since the early 70's. No reason to leave him now.
