As for real action that I think people should pursue if you want to improve the system, it's probably this in order:
1. Get a week-long voting system in place in all states.
2. Get ranked-choice voting on the ballot
3. Focus on in-state ballot initiatives.
The third one is the only way I believe you can circumvent party.

All that still allows for centrists in perpetuity cause money talks and bull**** walks. And corporations have more money than you.
I say that worker organizing has to work at some point or there's simply no point to any of this and the best we can do is Swedenism and you all can do that without me and I won't be an enthused convert anyway. So radicalized union organizing that doesn't acknowledge their bosses as legitimate authority is the only end result I can see having any desirable end goal.
