The band name sounds quite German but their singing doesn't, or is it a strong regional accent/dialect?
It's Dansk. Steffen Brandt is from Denmark. I discover him in a roundabout way. I saw the movie In a Better World starring Trine Dyrholm. While looking for more information about the movie and Trine I discovered the video of Baby Blue.
Spoiler for Baby Blue live:

A lot of time I'm just trying to figure out how popular certain European bands/artists are. Certain bands I find I don't if they're popular or obscure, like the next band. You probably heard of them before, right? There were three bands called The Outsiders. The one from the US that did Time Won't Let Me. The Punk band from the UK. I think if people talk about The Outsiders here it would probably be them. But yet there's another band called The Outsiders, they're from Amsterdam, NL - that's the band that's the bee's knees. Killer bass and killer fuzz guitar imho.
