If we're responsible for the economic imbalance on the planet, which is a fair charge, then why assume open borders is the solution. Open borders is displacement because if it's a policy in response to immigration northward (in the case of the US) it ignores that we've created a need for migration.
The capitalism charge also can be extended to apply fairly neatly to the drug cartels forcing immigration northward because we create an illegal market here in the US that funds those cartels.
