The ironic part is I could see Biden pardoning Trump in some half assed attempt at bipartisanship (maybe naively hoping the other side will extend the same olive branch) and then the Republicans impeaching Biden anyway over Huntergate or whatever. This was one of the many reasons in the primary people were saying Biden wasn't a good choice. But because it was in the democratic primaries that argument fell on deaf ears since the Hunter Biden accusations were assumed to be "conspiracy theory." We'll see how much that actually matters, going forward.
