conditioning is a vague term. Technically natural selection is conditioning. But typically that word seems to have a connotation that it's a arbitrary social convention that is not grounded in any sort of biology, imo. In which case no that wouldn't be appropriate here.
As for it only causes harm... That's true of some biological impulses. I'm not sure i see why that's true with regard to women being more selective sexually. Frankly I guess I don't see the harm there.
