I posed the question to solicit other perspectives and opinion, not to seek advice about my own situation. I offered a personal anecdote to get the ball rolling, as one does when posing such a question. I thought that was obvious but apparently not, so I used my words to communicate that I didn't like how it went. How bizarre right?
