Marie's answer would be the closest you could get with regard to traditional speciation. But with technological enhancements the old rules are superceded. It's possible to enhance a person's mind to a super human level through technology while they still have the same reproductive dna that would allow them to reproduce. It's a tricky question.

Yeah it is really interesting, and I find the biological answer unsatisfying. What about whether or not they can die of natural causes though? The definition of 'natural causes' might also become more complicated in that situation, but at first thought it seems the most satisfying answer to me.
