Thank you all so much for asking about her. Fortunately, she has not run a fever since Tuesday, so I'm hoping we're turning a corner now. Her coughing is still severe (she has a difficult time moving at all without prolonged coughing fits) but her breathing has improved. Senses of smell and taste, if not totally gone, are definitely a bit “off”. She reports that ginger ale and apples juice taste like grass to her. Glimmers of her sense of humor returning. I’ve been there not with covid but with viral pneumonia in both lungs. It takes a lot of fortitude to keep your mental from collapsing when your body is doing that. She must be strong. Very glad to hear her breathing has improved.
