Including ourselves in the WHO and Paris Accord are essential but, and I think you’ll agree with this, we don’t need to and shouldn’t aspire to regain our old position. We need to see ourselves as cooperative partners not exceptional leaders.
And at this point we got to a long way to go to earn international trust. Americans need a big dose of humility, both as individuals and collectively.
