Anyway, cheers to not giving a ****, that's the spirit!
Hey, when among your favourite bands are Bon Jovi, ELO, The Eagles (!), Genesis and The Alan Parsons Project, you learn pretty quickly that people are going to slag you over what they consider your "poor music taste". But I don't hold it against them: they can be into what they want to be into and I won't condemn them for that. By the same token they shouldn't be able to condemn me for being into, say, Bon Jovi or Journey. They can, but it's raining and I'm a duck these days.

This is why I date my MB membership from 2011 even though I officially joined in 2008. I got so upset with people being "mean" to me that I left for three years. When I came back I was clad in the armour of IDGAF, and it's served me well.

Yeah you're unlikely to find an Eagles song that suddenly makes you see the light. You either like them or you don't. If you've heard any of their hits, nobody here is going to be able to change your mind if you don't like them.

This is kind of the same argument Marie is making when saying punks hated The Eagles but not CSNY; just because you liked the band doesn't remove them from being in the same general sphere as Eagles. I love Genesis, but would never for a moment contest the idea that they were a major target of the punk movement. You can't pick and choose: if it's country rock then it's all country rock, or Americana, or roots rock, or whatever the damn hell you want to call it.
