A Delicate Balance (1973, Tony Richardson)
The way language works in this adapted Edward Albee (standing ^^) play continues to intrigue me. The social milieu is not one in which I grew up (also, card-carrying Republicans) but Albee sets the self-interest, greed, dysfunction, fear and yes, love, in these people to poetry. Not an easy feat. Reminds me of Chekhov in its best turns. For theater lovers - a must viewing.
Nice streamer.
