You should've. I don't think I could live with the anxiety of not having medical insurance coverage in the U.S.
Thankfully my company pays for a good health insurance. Just in the past few months I racked up about 5k$ in medical costs, only had 250$ deductible and that's only because I spent 3 days in the hospital. Otherwise there is no copay. Not sure how much they're paying for it but I doubt it's 500$ per month.
Anyway, good and affordable healthcare should be the basic goal of any developed society. I just can't believe that some people have a problem with that.
