That said, I can understand why there would be no payoff for you to try to get into Stravinsky, The Marble Index or PIL: to be able to step outside the habitual categories in which you appreciate music, to suspend your prejudices about what is beautiful and allow for the possibility that the din and the racket and the wailing and the caterwauling you're hearing could even be pleasurable, you need some imagination.
