Hey folks, newbie here. I want to make a series of posts where I select a random year, and we discuss our favorite favorite albums from that year. Today, it's 1999, which actually had a lot of bangers and was a fantastic year for music.



My pick is Clarity by Jimmy Eat World. Such a beautiful, gorgeous album, and quite possibly the most ambitious emo album ever, at least as far as emo pop is concerned. Truly worthy of being called an epic, and "Goodbye Sky Harbor" is probably the greatest closing track ever. 1999 was a great year for emo.
