A then & now sorta along the same lines as Lisnaholic. I'm old enough to remember buying music before I could find it "free" *cough cough* on the iinternet. Most of these albums I borrowed from family. A few I bought myself. ItCotCK was one of the first albums I ever bought. I bought 6 &12 right after seeing Leo Kottke play live.
Then:
  1. Solid Gold 69 by Chet Atkins
  2. 6- & 12- String Guitar by Leo Kottke
  3. Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
  4. Abbey Road by The Beatles
  5. In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson
  6. Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
  7. Underground Fire by The Ventures
  8. Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
  9. Smash Hits by Jim Hendrix Experience
  10. Retrospective by Buffalo Springfield

Albums I discovered on YouTube.
Now:
  1. Sound of Sunforest by Sunforest
  2. The Sacred Mushroom by The Sacred Mushroom
  3. Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
  4. Genesis by Wendy & Bonnie
  5. Escalator by Sam Gopal (Lemmy g,v)
  6. The Howlin' Wolf Album by Howlin' Wolf
  7. An Apple a Day by Apple
  8. Contact by Silver Apples
  9. It's So Hard to Tell Who's Going to Love You by Karen Dalton
  10. Flying Machine by Flying Machine

honourable mentions to:
  • Philosophy of the World by The Shaggs
