Those first three WA albums sold very well - certainly among my friends anyway. I became pretty familiar with the album covers, but not so much the music as I wasn't much of a fan. In fact, I only checked them out properly about 5 years ago.
The plus side: the two guitars are great. I like both volumes of "Live Dates" and F.U.B.B. is probably my favourite track of all.
Not so good: the voice and the lyrics do not deliver the kind of excentric or bad-ass sound that I like to hear from a rock band. WA are too polite for me I'm afraid.
